The state of Tennessee is proposing legislation which would allow children in the foster care system to be incarcerated in juvenile detention without being convicted of a crime. This very system was attempted in New Hampshire with disasterous results. Help us defeat this bill by contacting the TN state Senators and Representatives and letting them know this is not the way to care for children in their system.
The Family of LaJuanese Wilson Trannon

The son of LaJuanese Wilson Trannon, LeMichael Wilson, went before the Memphis City Council asking for attention to be brought to this incident surrounding his mother’s death, and reforms put in place from preventing another family from being traumatized after a responding individual took a picture of her unclothed body with her phone. While the City Council was deeply sympathetic, no answers have been forthcoming from the Mayor or the Memphis Police Department. He has been denied access to body cam footage, has not been provided with the promised report, and has been consistently refused any sort of explanation or resolution.
Assistive Mobility Device Registration Law - Rights Infringement

The City of Cortland is voting on a law that would require registration of Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Devices (EPAMDs). Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Devices are legitimate mobility aids for people with disabilities. Under the ADA, public entities must permit wheelchairs and other mobility devices, and they must make reasonable modifications for devices used as mobility aids. It is not lawful to require fees, permits, or special registration for mobility aids.
