Rebecca Lindstrom

In 2022, Lindstrom participated in the Center for Health Journalism’s Data Fellowship. She won an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for her fellowship project, the series #Keeping, which examined gaps in Georgia’s mental and behavioral health care system that too often led parents to abandon their children. In 2016, the Georgia Associated Press Media Editors named Rebecca “Best Reporter,” and in 2018, the Georgia Association of Broadcasters bestowed the same honor. She has won national and regional Edward R. Murrow awards and 12 regional Emmys. Her documentary series Help That Harms helped raise awareness about parents of medically complex children being falsely accused of abuse. The series was a catalyst for change, leading to the passage of Ridge’s Law, Georgia’s second-opinion legislation.
